GraphPad Prism Trainings
The software Graphpad Prism is a powerful combination of biostatistics, Dose-Response Curves (non-linear regression) and scientific graphs in a compact program. You can easily organize your experiments, analyze and create graphs. Without much effort you will learn how to find the appropriate statistical test, the results and to interpret the reports or adopt the graphs to your needs, e.g. for publications. Graphpad Prism should be in every lab!
Introduction to Graphpad
PRISM
This training teaches a solid foundation for everyone working with Graphpad Prism. You learn the complete course of a data analysis ranging from data import and descriptive statistical analysis to creation and optimmization of the output. The class is meant to be at beginners level meaning that we do not expect any previous knowledge about PRISM. The course also covers the introduction into basic statistical concepts. The participants are able to master the PRISM dialogsystem and output and can run as well as interpret simple, descriptive statistical analysis.
Objectives:
- Introducton to statistics (basic ideas)
- Data handling and graphical presentation of data in PRISM
- Jump start in statistical analysis with PRISM, one sample per PRISM project type
- PRISM automatisation using templates and other methodes
Prerequisites:
This introductory course is designed for beginners. No PRISM experience is expected, basic knowledge of statistics helps, but is not required.

PRISM. Keywords like: t-test, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis, gaussian distribution, homogeneity, post hoc
tests, paired / unpaired will be explained.
You need to be able to master the Graphpad Prism dialog system and output, thus the introductory training is
a prerequisite. The class also covers the basic statistical knowhow needed to understand the
different methods.
Objectives:
- Statistical principles of comparisons of Means
- PRISM interface handling with regard to the comparison of means
- Setup and interpret "Column"-projects
- One sampel t test
- T test and one-way ANOVA for unpaired and paired samples
- Nonparametric tests for unpaired and paired samples
- Post tests
- Understand and utilize "Grouped"-projects
- Two-way ANOVA for unpaired and paired samples
- Post test
- Professional and fail save data handling, formatting and presentation of graph types specific to mean comparisons
Prerequisites:
Before attending the course, you should complete the "Introduction to Graphpad PRISM" course or have equivalent experience.
