Zenplot - Features

Line Chart

This layer allows you to add a line chart to your current visualization. Each observation of the dataset corresponds to a node, according to the associated X and Y coordinates. All of these nodes will be connected by segments, constituting the line chart. A group variable can be entered by the user, thus allowing him to link characteristics to this variable.

Scatter Plot

This layer allows you to add a scatter plot to your current display. A point will be drawn for each observation line of the dataset as a function of the associated X and Y coordinates.

Bar chart

This layer allows you to add a bar chart to your current visualization. The height of the bars can correspond to the sum, the average, the minimum or the maximum of a category.

Area chart

This layer allows you to add an area chart to your current visualization. This layer works like the Line Chart layer. Here, we draw two lines which represent the lower and upper limits of an area. A group variable can be filled in by the user, thus allowing him to link the characteristics of the areas to this variable.

Labels

This layer allows you to add labels to your current visualization. A label will be drawn for each line of observation of the dataset according to associated coordinates X and Y.

Axis

The management of the axis is made throughout the entire visualization. Many options are available: to add a second axis to read, to personalize the titles, the grid, the graduations, etc.

Heat Map / 2D Surface

This layer allows you to add a heat map to your current visualization. This layer can also be used to draw 2D surfaces, or gridlines, which can be used as a background when performing a visualization.

Histogram

This layer allows you to add an histogram to your current visualization. The entered quantitative variable is discretized. The height of each bar corresponds to the count of the number of observations belonging to each interval thus created.

Annotations

This layer allows you to add annotations to your current visualization. To do this, you first need to create an empty layer that will contain these annotations.

Legend

The management of the legend is made throughout the entire visualization. You can choose the elements to display or not in the legend, and customize the legend box (outline, font size, background color, etc.).
