The latest update of XLSTAT includes two highly anticipated features and several improvements. But that's not all - XLSTAT Free is a new version of XLSTAT for literally everyone out there that seeks professional data analysis within MS Excel!
New Features and Improvements
- Support of Vector Machines (SVM)
This supervised machine learning algorithm strengthens the list of algorithms that are already available in XLSTAT. SVM’s are adapted to a wide number of situations, including situations of non-linearity. It is available in all XLSTAT solutions (under the Machine Learning tab). - Temporal Dominance of Sensations (TDS)
This feature allows to easily visualize temporal evolution of the dominance of attributes perceived by assessors. It is available in XLSTAT-Sensory, XLSTAT-Marketing and XLSTAT-Premium (under the Sensory data analysis tab).
- This update also brings a fresh new look to the menus.
- Box plots can now be colored by group (available in all XLSTAT solutions).

The producer Addinsoft just released a new version of XLSTAT: XLSTAT Free is a new, compact version of the software for the cost of just 0,00€! This version provides users with 13 essential features for statistical data analysis. This completely free version is added to the MS Excel interface automatically after the trial version or the runtime of a XLSTAT license expires. Functions of this version includes:
- Data sampling
- Distribution sampling
- Coding by ranks
- Descriptive statistics including several charts (pie charts, bar charts, box plots…)
- Histograms
- Covariance and correlation analysis including Pearson, Spearman and Kendall correlation coefficients and their significances, correlation maps, scatter plot matrices and many more
- Paired and independent 2-sample t-tests and z-tests, including one-tailed and two-tailed alternative hypotheses
- 2-sample comparison of variance tests
- 2-sample non-parametric tests (Wilcoxon’s test, sign test, Mann-Whitney’s test), including asymptotic, Monte Carlo and exact p-value computations
- Simple and multiple linear regression with many options including weights, 2-way interactions, validation procedures, predictions, multicollinearity statistics, missing data handling and type III effects
- 1-way and 2-way ANOVA for balanced or unbalanced data, with many options including weights, 2-way interactions, validation procedures, predictions, missing data handling and type III effects
- Time series smoothing including exponential and moving average
- Fourier transforms
